Scenario Vanilla checklists don't work

I have just recently started with Orbiter, and decided to try the checklist scenario.
When I opened them it gets a 404, I've checked the installation and the files are there, so I don't know what to do next. . :facepalm:

Sorry for the rushed OP, the scenario exists in my installation, and I can play it, what is missing is the checklists themselves.

In Orbiter, press Alt+F1 and Hail the Probe. This will get you the checklists.


Alternatively look in YourOrbiterFolder/Doc for Orbiter.pdf, which has the same checklists in printable form.

The checklists are in the Orbiter manual, section 21. It's a pretty decent walk-though using the stock DG. I had the .pdf file open while having Orbiter in windowed mode to read and fly. Then I got the brilliant idea to print the manual at work and put it in a binder.

Yeah, I knew about that, but when I press Alt+F1, the window where the help is supposed to be is just a 404 page

I had a similar problem.

IIRC, this is some kind of Microsoft security thing that prevents Orbiter from opening .pdf files, since it's not the usual .pdf reading application. (OK, I'm not sure, but it's something like that).

There is some way to take the restrictions off of the individual files, because I got mine to work eventually. I don't exactly remember though. :blush: But bottom line, I highly suspect that this is not an Orbiter bug, but an operating system "feature"

I don't know if this is the same problem, but this a Orbiter-help-won't-load problem (and the help files are .chm, not .pdf).
