My blogs were pushed off the recent blog feed, hence this update. I am still working on the website actively. I am currently trying to incorporate forums, but I'm messing with views too, so progress is slow. I don't have any screen shots this time, because there hasn't been much visible improvement. I still have to tackle the missions page, which is going to be nightmarish. Once that is done though, All we need are actual missions, and I think we are good! I am going on vacation next week, so no work will get done. Perhaps, and this is a BIG perhaps, I will be done the following week. Once again- PERHAPS.

Well, I'm off to recruit scenario writers to help out! I will be starting the whole publicity stuff the week after vacation, so yeah. Good progress so far.

I am still looking for banners, just a heads up. I need about four more to get good diversity, but the more the merrier.

cont me in for scenario writing if you want im not doing anything on the computer so ya.

Nice to hear that things are going "pretty" well;) Good luck finding scenario writers. And have a very nice vacation.

For missions I'd say set yourself a few goals. One of my early sets of missions was an ISS upgrade as it gave me a target to fly to and a series of things to do when I got there.

'Tis a good idea. The first few missions may be 'standalone', so to speak, so I can test if the reporting process is adequate. I guess you could call the, test missions. After that the goals would kick in- probably starting out by building a space-station so we have something to supply regularly, and therefore generates missions. I was thinking of including some satellite launches for newer pilots, since those aren't hard at all. I'm leaving moon stuff for later on once its more established.

i think for our first mission we should send a base module up to a 250x250km orbit on the same inc as the moon so we can go from there to the moon i would be glad to make the mesh and such

I don't think that would be the best course of action. A 250x250 km orbit is not that high: the ISS orbits higher than that. Secondly, why would we prepare for a moon landing in our first mission? We don't even know if the reporting system works, or what parameters to record. Lunar missions don't generate mamy missions for all skill ranges. I thought it through before and decided To leave lunar out for later.

ok maybe not first mission but the first coupple missions and maybe a 400x400km orbit im not saying we have to go to the moon but making a station on the same inc as the moon would make it alot easier and pluss then you have a space station that we can ressuply

I think the very first mission for a pilot should be a simple flight to the ISS and back (precise reentry back to base of course) just to prove that the pilot has actual skills and is not all talk.

Hello everyone, I am hoping to join VASO once it's launched and looking forward to flying together :)

If I may, I'd like to suggest a scenario. I think, first of all we need a couple of (probably shuttle) missions to LEO to get along with the procedures that we shall follow later on. Pretty much pointless missions maybe unless someone comes up with an idea to deploy a satellite, etc but I think general familiarization would do us good.
After that I agree with the idea to build a space station. In my opinion, this is essential, because like fireballs said it will generate tons of missions and furthermore it's great fun. A very rewarding experience after all the hard work.
Later on, we should start using a cislunar spacecraft and test it in LEO (~2 missions), test it's docking capabilities to our station, then attempt a manned lunar orbit and eventually landing. After 2~3 landings we could start constructing a moon base and eventually a lunar station. Then Mars, Venus and so on :)
My two cent worth ;)

Also, are we going to use any multiplayer addons (not sure if there are working ones)? I'm asking because I am half way in preparing a beta version of my own multiplayer module. Pretty simple one but should suffice to be able to for example follow the shuttle taking off with a jet fighter or conduct a multispacewalk, etc.

I'm all for it! Let's do it!

I wasn't planning to use multiplayer, because I didn't want to hinge the functionality of VASO on a modeul that mght have support dropped. If your's works out, it'd be great to do spacewalks/evas together. We'll see how that works out.

i like the mulispacewalk idea and i agree with the space station but not early or to late i would say probably 7-10th mission to send a starter module up via launcher or a shuttle
