Folks, before i loose anymore hair looking, is there a Velcro Soyuz launcher out there? Ive looked high and low in orbiter hangar and cant find one.

I need a Soyuz Launcher that is velcro based so i can do some wierd stuff with payloads (i.e. use PAYATCH). If it can fit in with the LC1 pad as well that would be great.

All the soyuz launchers ive found are not velcro based as far as ive seen.

If there is none out there i guess i'll have to find a soyuz mesh set which i can velcro'ise....

HELP

:)

I don't think there is one.

I threw in the boosters from a project Urwumpe was working on, I believe, but never got the entire set, so don't have a Soyuz launcher in velcro.

Have you found this yet?

Not the Soyuz launcher for orbit, but to the Moon!

Thanks guys but need a velcro soyuz. Im building the entire ASTP (Apollo Soyuz 75) missions for Amso. I have built the docking adaptor mesh (my first mesh im very proud of it, even if the docking aim points arnt perfect). On the soyuz side i have built another mesh to strap to the front of soyuz TMA as the APAS adaptor. Soyuz had its own russian probe/drogue device so i needed to puts something over this that is the 3 x spade shaped gizmo that everyone uses today (its started with astp incidentally).

With all the other launcher mechanisms other than velcro you cant launch with two payloads live and bolted together. If you use one of the others (they are just meshes and come "alive" on jettison), then they usually have wierd side effects.

On the apollo side i will use the velcro amso saturn 1b. (Sputnik see my other post, if you feel like fixing the jettison "bug" where things get jettisoned at like 20 m/s away from the parent that would be great as i cant get the gentle apollo style jettison, SLA break apart and 180 turn to go back and get the adaptor out!).

Given no velcro launcher i'll probably start with soyuz in orbit and have apollo ready to go with the case down from launch onwards.

cheers
