Problem Venus on the sun for some reason

Good morning all, I'm having a bit of an issue with planet placement. It seems Venus has wandered off her assigned orbit and is now sitting on the surface of the sun. This is the case in any scenario I load. I suspect one of the addons I have installed mucked with the solar system but I can't be sure. I've never flown to Venus so I didn't notice what had happened until I looked for it in planetarium mode. Everything else seems to be where it should be. I've never tried any solar system editing so I don't know where to look to find the problem.

It's happening in every single scenario, stock and addons.

I just tried changing the module specified in the Venus.cfg file from Vsop87 to Venus, that seemed to fix the problem. Looks like Vsop87.dll is included in the base orbiter package but isn't used by default, the Venus L8 package in the recommended addons list uses it. I have no idea what the difference is.

Ah yes, when I installed the Venus L8 textures I got this same issue. Looking at Venus.cfg I noticed that the orbital elements were missing, so I just copied them from the original one and pasted in, and viola, fixed.

Anyway, good to see your solution's working but should another problem arise try the above.
