Launch News ViaSat-1 atop Proton-M/Briz-M on October 19/20, 2011

Mission Update: Fifth burn was successful and ViaSat-1 separated from the launch vehicle on schedule. Signal acquisition followed so we are now in contact with the satellite. Read the announcement from ILS that the launch was a success.

Next up is solar array deployment which is expected to be complete in the next 3-4 hours.
