video recording of Orbiter?

hey all,

I was wondering if there was a way of recording an orbiter mission in a format that’s playable in a media player (.mpeg or whatever). I looked at the tech documents in orbiter and it seemed to be the answer was no. Anyone have any idea if it’s possible, without just resorting to using the record feature of orbiter then running orbiter. As ideally I need to be able to play a video without having orbiter installed on the computer.

There are many screen grabber programs that can do this.
Most notably would be fraps, which is specificaly designed for recording games.
Camstudio is a free alternative and features it's own lossless codec.
