So after messing around with the quicksaves and whatnot, I figured out how to make a playback (its an accomplishment for me). Is there an easy way for me to talk into my microphone and have it record onto that? Or will i have to use a seperate program to record the sound?

My goal is to make an easy to follow video tutorial on how to achieve orbit using a DG. The reason: So newbies can follow a video instead of reading it (for me, following a video and having a voice explain what is happening is much easier to follow then just text on a screen, or for that matter, a webpage explaining everything.)

(If there is one already out there, please let me know. I don't want to make something somebody already has.)

I think such a thing exists already (on you tube). I'll try to find it.

edit: Hmmm... perhaps it disappeared or something. I can't find it.

audio tutorials

I would benefit from such a thing too. I wondered about having an interactive tutorial with audio that would sense your imputs and respond accordingly. So if you were to set something incorrectly after being instructed to enter it, you would be corrected. I think FS does this.

ednixon, do you need help getting into orbit?

I think he's talking about Orbiter's replay function, not screen recording.

Actualy, now that I think about it, replay tutorials would be an exelent way for people to teach others how to do proper take-offs, acents, re-entries ect, because the viewer would be able to pull up different MFDs and see what the craft's speed, pitch, thrust, etc is at that moment, hence giving themselves "waypoints" if you will for when they do their own acents and re-entries.

You could use orbitersound's built in wav sequencer.

Put all the sound files in a sub-folder in ../Sound, and use the sequencial editor to set the timing.

Yes, i am talking about the replay function.

That's a good idea, use orbitersound to build them in.
Thanks

Is there a way to use the sound for only one scenario?

No, but is that a problem? If you dial in the 'frequency' of the directory, you'll get the playback.
I don't think many users will use a tutorial more then a few times. If the other scenarios use another 'frequency' (usually 296.800) they won't hear the tutorial sequence.
