EARTH STAR FLIGHT ACADEMY (ESFA);
To bring virtual logic and realism accuracy.
http://esfa-board.blogspot.com/

Introducing New Web Pages:

Page1; ESFA-BOARD,
The Virtual Flight Operation Board
Presenting usefull In-flight resources.

Page2; ESFA-NETWORK,
Fleet and outposts locations,
The organisation in the Orion Arm sector
(the Milky Way galaxy).

Page3; The VIRTUAL UNIVERSE DIRECTORY,
The settings to the ESFA organisation,
Resources on the space environment and settlements,

Page4; The VIRTUAL UNIVERSE,
3D Worlds and Places associated with ESFA Quadrons,

Linking 7 Orbiter solar systems to VRML 3D worlds and places.

- When VPilots have flown to a particular planet or solar system
(with Orbiter),
- They can actually "be there" and interact with people
(with VRML).

* Since VRML Browser is simple Windows Explorer pluggin,
it can run in the background with Orbiter.

Star Flight Academy New Features

The ESFA Site have been re-organised and new features are presented.
New pilots and experts are welcomed:

- "The Starflight Era", ESFA Story (virtual);

- Interplanetary Flights Guidelines;

The Orbiter space flight program is an astounding virtual simulator. Remarkable in the accuracy of the space dynamics it portrays, astonishing in its design, and amazing in the versatility it presents toward various add-ons. In this manner, the Orbiter Space Flight Simulator is unique!

Because of its design, the Orbiter simulator allows to travel far beyond the Earth and the Moon proximity. Depending on the accurate configuration of the vessels (if the add-on is correctly designed), space-pilots can reach anything anywhere in a planetary system.

However, inter-planetary travelling is seldom talked about in any forum, if ever. Historic NASA flights and the likes are performed over and over. Rocket launching from the Earth, simple orbital operations, and landing on the Moon. Direct insertion (by Scenario Editor), time acceleration, and skipping de-orbiting and re-entry phases are quite too common.

I am convinced that many VPilots would benefit from operating the Orbiter spacecrafts to reach beyond the Moon orbit.
Because this is where the real strength of the Orbiter space flight simulator appears!

It is my hope that the "Astro-Travel Flight Guidelines", the notions and navigation techniques,
will help the Novice Space Pilots to carry out interplanetary travelling,
and that the experts will also find convenient procedures.

I can't exactly tell what this is, but I have to disagree that interplanetary flight isn't ever mentioned. A huge amount of people on here fly interplanetary, often doing incredibly complex things (just look at flytandem's scenarios and the Chapman Challenge topic).

CAPS LOCK TITLE FOR EMPHASIS

I don't know what this is either, but we do spend a good amount of time going places beyond Earth. I can't tell if this is a VSA or a cult (we already have one here, and I recently started believing in its power...).

Good day;

To inform those who are interested, and friends who have been following/using,

Here are new valid links to downloads (free):

- ATF-Guide (.pdf):
(Basic spaceflight/travel guidelines and procedures)

- Vessels2 (.zip)
(Series of .cfg files to accurately adapted vessels; ESFA Standards)

Virtual SpaceFlight Context Infrastructure (for realism):

Enjoy space!
