Dear all,

It's come to my notice that some of us, myself included two months ago, enter the world of Orbiter with little knowledge with which to take to the stars with.

Therefore as soon as I got my wings (with stars and moon) I wanted to setup a VSA that dispensed with the usual fancy mission statements and focused on the flying bits. Men took to the stars not by aiming at deep space and commiting suicide. We made it to the Moon and beyond step by step. Successful pilot training must thus, likewise, have a similar strategy.

So lets cut to the chase - if you don't know how to fly a Deltaglider into orbit, let me know and I'll teach you how to get vacuum under your wings in 5 minutes flat.

I don't believe in labelling people newbies. New talent is what enables online communites such as ours to remain living, breathing entities. Therefore, I want to help people get their wings (with the stars and moon), into orbit, and well on their way to becoming Orbinauts. I have a training framework, friendly wingmen and a server to run a flight school. You'll also note I have some addons useful for earning your wings with.

All I need of course, are some bush pilots. Or in this case, Space Cowboys :3

You can take me up on my offer whenever. If you dare :3

I think I need to be a member. Hehe. I have no problem getting into orbit, doing rendezvous and docking in orbit, but I have BIG problems with landing where I want and I have HUGE problems with using IMFD or TRANSX. I've tried every tutorial I can find on these subjects, but I always end up with my numbers not matching up or going way off kilter to what the tutorials always say they should be.
I've been flying around with Orbiter since maybe around 2000 or 2001 and I STILL have yet to master flying to other planets. I can get to the Moon with no issues using Transfer MFD easily (and I return by kind of fudging things with the Orbit MFD). So I have quite a few things to work on.

We will need to do a bit of decision making for this one For interstellar operations multiplayer may not be suitable due to lack of time acceleration. Although the game is stable enough on OMP once I ironed out the bugs!

I think with voice comms and a structured flight plan like some VSAs are doing right now, we can both have a refresher course in interplanetary ops. Save OMP for the teamwork stuff in low orbit.

After all, above a certain orbital velocity, formation flying is all but impossible and a non-necessity. It's more important to ensure both vessels' trajectories are more or less parallel and synch the time to next maneuvers.
