Yep...good news for sure...what we need now is an estimate of the total amount of water and then further develop technologies like the ones used with the ISS, to regain as much used water as possible. Then we can think of establishing a base :thumbup:

Just like in terrestrial geology, not everything can be obtained from remote sensing. Some additional data on seismic profiles, electricity conductivity tracks and probe drilling would make this kind of knowledge really proven.

Lunar ice is not as abundant as Martian ice.

There has been evidence for water on Mars for some time. Rampart ejecta and terrain softening, for example.

Martian "snow" is not comprised of water. It is AFAIK carbon dioxide.
