UMMU?

or

UCGO?

or

DGIV?

or

OrbiterSound?

Well OrbiterSound kind of has to come first.
Then DGIV
UMmu
UCGO

I had a hard time deciding between DGIV and UMmu for 2nd place.

Is that really a topic for "Add-ons", shouldn't such kind of fandom better moved to off-topic.... ?

Also, this poll actually just leaves three choices, since UMMU and UCGO are unified.

I wasnt really sure where to put the poll, but i thought addons because this is what the poll is for!.

I like UGCO - for the uninitiated to the Orbiter modding world, it's a complex and versatile package in a nutshell. I mean, what other game (dont even mention addons) let you drive stuff, EVA and do interplanetary ops? :3

I can't vote. They are all so good that I sometimes forget that Orbiter itself has no sound, no EVA's and no ship that can burn up.

Either UMMu or OrbiterSound, because these are two addons that I always install first into a fresh Orbiter folder. Both can be considered as an integral part of Orbiter, and probably should be included to its base installation. I have chosen UMMu however, since it makes the virtual world much more lively and immersive.

Well orbiter sound in itself is awesome, but it is more of a "core" thing rather than an add-on (what kind of person who won't install orbitersound?) so, ship/add-on wise, I'll choose DGIV, well, there's a little bit downside with the electrical damage system (which is non-existent AFAIK), but it is a fabulous add-on with one of the most complicated system in Orbiter.

More lines doesn't make it better. I can add lines to a C++ project very easily, it doesn't necessarily improve it.

The current inventory of "massively coded" addons have a good track record of awesomeness, though! :D

But I agree some are more fun than others. It's just like some sports cars. Yes they are expensive, exclusive, ferociously fun, but live with them as a daily driver? Erm, only one or two fit the bill.

It's not the number of lines that count, but what they do. And those 30 000+ lines of code, make for an absolutely awesome addon with all sorts of cleverly included and engineered features.

To pick a favourite addon by Dan Steph, I would have to say UMMU, because it really brings a sense of life and responsibility to flying, and gives a chance to "get out" of your spacecraft and explore outside. My second favourite would probably be the DGIV, since it's so well implemented.

Then again, the more I think about OrbiterSound... I originally disregarded a need for sound in Orbiter, but the more I think about it the more I figure out how necessary it really is, it gives a better sense of awareness to the simulation.

My favorite add-on would have to be without doubt the DGIV. I love the cockpit and especially the flight computer. For a total spacenoob like me it makes getting it into orbit so much easier. Type in Pro904Spec42 enter, execute and then forget about it. And the good thing is I can have any number of DGIVs sitting next to eachother all ready for launch and I can quickly cycle through each one and hit the execute button....
My only wish though would be if only I could somehow utilise this panel for more spacecraft.... now that would be brilliant!

30,000 lines...

The point is, that if you manage to compile 30,000 lines and make them work together without a single error... Then you have some very serious C++ "basics"... Even if blank lines are counted in...

1. OrbiterSound, because it is very good done, and it makes Orbiter more realistic.
2. UCGO, because there is a thing called Arrow Freighter, and it's very good done, too...
3. DGIV, because it's very realistic with the life settings.
3. UMMU, because it makes fun, walking in space with it(It's 3rd place, too.)

My order from best to worst:
Orbitersound
UCGO
DG-IV
Ummu
