Which Ones Can You Hear?

Whoo, for being a techie, 15,000 watt sound syestem has killed my hearing, could feel up to 17.4, whoo also I'm 17, my hearings terrible

I think it really depends on what you are trying to hear it through. I noticed I could hear much higher frequencys with headphones on rather than through the speakers.

With headphones I could hear up to 18 khz. 18 years old.

I doubt this is a very practical ring tone for use in the classroom. Even if the teacher can't hear it, he will see the students cringing in pain.

One of my current identities is that of musician, and I'm thinking my hearing is still acute due to this fact.

Could also be I'm extremely lucky. The eyes are going, but my hearing's better than it should be.

14kHz age 43 so about right. Sadly.

I noticed that I could actually hear all of the samples played back directly from the website but anything above the 14kHz whine was a lower frequency sampling alias so don't be fooled...

I only noticed in the last five years or so that the top end of my hearing range was falling off. HiFi treble control seemed to make less difference, couldn't hear bats etc. Then the other week I found the instruction manual for my old 1982 cassette deck. The specs read:
"Normal tape 35 to 13000Hz
Chrome tape 35 to 14000Hz
Metal tape 35 to 15000Hz"

So, it is quite likely I can enjoy the full frequency range of my vinyl LP collection for a few more years yet!
