Hi, guys. I'm relatively new to Orbiter (perharps, I am the less experienced member of this community). During my first flight I've encountered something I couldn't even think of possible. Just take a look at the Pitch graph on this screenshot:

Should I think of myself as a pioneer of unknown lands or this is expected to happen? I can't remember precise details of how this has happened (that was a couple of months ago, on 7th of November), but it is definitely wierd.

P.S. Please excuse my mistakes in English, I'm a) from Russia and b) I'm 15 :)

First of all, welcome to the forum Arrest. Second, i have never seen this before so this might be a bug on the ascent profile multi function display.

Welcome to the forums !

Huhh... Looks like your vessel just had an heart attack :idk:

Where did you launch your vessel and where were you heading ?

From your orbital speed (found in the top left box labelled OS), the fact that you are in the Suns orbit, and the sim time, two things probably could have happened... or both.

It seems that you either went max speed with max time acceleration or that you have stumbled across the glitch that sometimes sends you flying out of the solar system. This happens when you do crazy things like high time acceleration near Earth. The further you are from the sun, the more weird things happen with MFDs. It seems that you are very far, causing some of these problems. Just start up a new scenario and everything will be fine.

Edit: Yes, your distance from the sun is 466 AU after taking another look. That is 466x the Earth-Sun distance! More than enough to cause precision problems like these.

Also, Welcome to the Forums!

Well, judging by your velocity and other orbital parameters it looks like you've hit the ground on time acceleration like x10000 or alike. It would always cause some funny effects and may confuse any precision data software for sure. So I would advise you not to bother about this thing if it not happen again.

Welcome to the forum, by the way! There are some russian guys here, so you can PM anyone of us and talk in Russian if you want, but I think your English is good, at least better than mine:thumbup:

Welcome to the forums! :welcome: I certainly wouldn't say that you are the least experienced member of the community (you have taken a screenshot and posted it successfully). And your english is pretty good.

Again, welcome to the forum, and have fun!

Yep, confirming what's already been said, you've discovered Orbiter's 'gag reflex' to high time acceleration and/or extreme manoeuvres, which is to send you sailing out of the Solar System. :)

Looking at the symptoms in the screenshot (extreme altitude and velocity, no fuel, old simulation) I'm guessing that your ship is also spinning madly (perfectly normal in this situation) which would explain the confusing pitch angle/time reading.

It's good practice not to go over 100x time acceleration when being influenced by a force like thrust or drag, and not to go over 1000x when near Earth, even in a stable orbit, just in case. So keep your finger off of the T button. ;)

:welcome: to Orbiter Forum! Your English is fine.
