Question With whom would you eat dinner?

Werner von Braun and the 3 I already posted, so:
Lovecraft,
Stephen Hawking,
von Braun,
that one girl :love::blush:

well not in that order - I'm not sure about order.
It would be cool to talk about Orbiter with von Braun

1. Thomas Henry Huxley

2. Max Planck

2. Albert Einstein

1. Carl Sagan.
2. Any intelligent non-human (that wouldn't try to eat me for dinner).
3. Democritus (if you don't know who he is, he's awesome).
4. Voltaire.
5. Thomas Paine.
6. Thomas Jefferson.
7. John Adams.
8. Rousseau.
9. Max Planck.

I guess the first 10 or so would be Soviet/Russian spaceflight-related persons... now find three of them...........

Tsiolkovsky, Korolev, Chertok (man, I still have to read "Rockets and People")

If I could choose more: the whole STS-125 and Expedition 24 crews, the Mercury seven, Gagarin, Tereshkova, Leonov, Armstrong, White, Komarov, Titov, von Braun, Oberth, Lovell, Young, Aldrin, Bean, Cernan, Schmitt, Duke, Haise, Mattingly, McCandless... let's stop here, there are many many others...

Newton
Euler
Gauss

Pontius Pilate
Isambard Kingdom Brunel
John Monash

Revised choices:
1. Somebody smart
2. Someone who is both cute and funny
3. One of the earth's chosen by The Probe :hailprobe:

All the same person, I get all :jiggy: imagining the dinner. (More like a date )

like my brother said, Will Wright (i'd probably punch him for dropping the ball so bad), Buzz Aldrin (i could let him do the punching) and Martin (so we can show Wright how a sim is REALLY made)

i'd throw in Dick Winters as well :hmm:

Moses ( Find out what REALLY came down on that mountain top........)
Ghandi ( so much to learn)
My Dad (I'd give anything to talk to him again........)

Neil Armstrong and Yuri Gagarin have to be added to my list - I'd like to see them discussing, who was the bigger pioneer...

Natalie Portman

Did you have to make the picture so large? Seriously... :uhh:

3. George S. Patton

Patton? Surprising choice. Why Patton?

like my brother said, Will Wright (i'd probably punch him for dropping the ball so bad), Buzz Aldrin (i could let him do the punching) and Martin (so we can show Wright how a sim is REALLY made)

This Will Wright?

There are quite a few, you know,

My Three;

1.) I think Jesus Christ is pretty much a given at this point.

2.) Neil Armstrong. Cliche, I know, but apparently he had an amazing personality.

3.) One of the Wright Brothers.

Okay, after giving it a thought, I'd like to have my dinner with:

1. Julius Caesar (hopefully, :probe: will grant me knowledge of the language he really spoke, for such occasion). I would taste Roman delicious food, warn him about the coup and gift him a globe of Earth.

2. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Gilyarovsky"]Vladimir Gilyarovsky[/ame],
because he seemed to be the most interesting to talk with and knowledgeable about best restaurants in Moscow in his time.

3. My grandma, circa December '42, in her dugout during the occupation. I would disguise myself as guerrilla fighter, and certainly bringing a rich amount of food with me, including milk for my baby dad. :) I'd tell her that everything would be okay, they would live, SS wouldn't find her husband, and victory would be ours in three years.

BTW. Guys, who so many of you want to have a dinner with Jesus Christ, not providing an explanation, why? Forgive my atheistic mind, but isn't it awkward to sit in a company of a deity? No offense meant, I just want somebody to explain this to me.

What believing person of any faith wouldn't like to meet their God in the flesh (without the trouble of dying:shifty:)? For your faith to end in sight? I think that would be as far beyond awsome as the real space shuttle is beyond Orbiter.

Also, it would be nice to talk to Him without wondering if it really is Him talking, or just me;)

1) Jesus Christ
2)Neil Armstrong
3) Yuri Gagarin
Alt- John Young (Hes done almost everything thats important to the US space program)
Yes I know those are popular choices and kind of cliche but they are really interesting people and Jesus is well Jesus.
I just think it would be great to actually talk to Him, and see his perfect patience (he would certainly need it with me ;) ) and really, I just can't explain it I would want to.

1. A person from long ago, before the fall of the Roman Empire... Jesus is a pretty popular choice here, and I think he would be an interesting guy to talk to, though I'd need an interpreter, since I don't speak Aramaic or Hebrew.

But if he's Jesus, wouldn't he already be able to speak English and all other tongues of the world?
