Moe, you included the wrong texture file! Although the texture file is discovery.dds the texture itself is for Atlantis, not Discovery. So a reupload with the correct file would be in order.

Now is all correct. You can download from now the right dss. for Discovery.

Nvm my previous post, I got the think working. Now, are you going to make Columbia and Challenger?
 
Maybe, but now I´ve begun to test new textures for the stock tank and SRBs. If the experiment gives good result (now is only a simple trial), I will publish them.

If I make Columbia and Challenger textures, I want to give them the best ones. It´s a respect and consideration question.

This is the experiment. I´m trying different texture effects (mainly lights and shadows) because this tank is a big orange plain thing and is very difficult bring it to life. (SRBs are not retextured yet).

The reason is simple. Too many years painting things....:)

I don´t know anything about 3d work, or how to make flyable any 3d model. I don´t know nothing about programming. I only know how photoshop works. That´s all. It´s really easy, but I´m very glad you like my work.

I don't mean to be hasty, but you got done with the shuttles fast. Do you think the et/srb's will take any longer?
 
I´m not sure if this textures will be published. First I must find the result that I am looking for. Perhaps.. one week? More or less.

If I can obtain it, will not be no problems painting the newETSRB archives either. These archive will use most of the new textures to fit them. It will be easy and fast.

Just download the pack. It is designed to work with the latest Shuttle Fleet version straight out of the box.

Are you sure? I no longer fly with Orbiter. Now I only have time to paint. :rofl:
Good news. ET finished. The results are not very bad, I think (sure I´ll change the textures twice till it will be really ready). Tomorrow or Sunday perhaps I´ll begin to work in SRB´s. Next week some screens.

Ok. SRBs painting trials running. This is retextured SRB upper part (till first thin black line). It´s a pity this SRB looks too poligonal in close views but I can´t do nothing about this.

Not mine! Mine are of much higher resolution and accuracy. Don't take this the wrong way but why are you doing this for the default Atlantis? It is a dog compared to both Shuttle Ultra and the Shuttle Fleet add-ons!

Nothing except the orbiter mesh for the default Atlantis is accurate! The orbiter itself is about 20 or so metric tons overweight compared to the real orbiter Atlantis!
 
cant the textures for the default be adapted to the ssu and the fleet? I think it looks great, even on the default atlantis.
