Hardware Workaround for Saitek rudder peddles?

Hey there!

I have just discovered Orbiter and have fallen in love with it!

However, I'm suffering from the known issue with Saitek rudder peddles. I was hoping to get around this issue with some combination of Fly By Wire and the Saitek software, but haven't had any luck so far. Has anyone managed to get around this problem?
