x1000+ time acceleration oscillations

I think this is the KSP kraken effect.. where the orientation correction control (prograde etc..) loses it's marbles, and goes into wild oscillations.

I set up a moon intercept, do the burn, then float off into space.
Being a bit impatient, I time accelerate... at 100x the oscillations correct themselves... at 1000x, you can kiss your aunty goodbye :lol:

Actually, everybody has to face this excitement. You'll have to disable the autopilot before you go 1000x, otherwise the spaceship will lose control & quickly drain all your RCS fuel.

But there's an addon which would automatically disable the autopilot when time acceleration > 100x so that you don't have to.

Edit - Yup, it works with orbiter 2016.

You could deactivate any autopilot before accelerating above 10x speed.

Or install Orbitersound, run the SoundConfig program and set a checkmark at
"Auto disable autopilot if time warp > 10x".
This is a legacy feature of Orbitersound, but still very handy! :)
