Problem XR-2 Fuel Change Problem

Hello,

I have been eperimenting with the XR2 with regards to changing fuel, LOX, etc but have not had any luck.

After changing the default XR2 cfg file and saving, the ship still always has a little over 13,000 KG of fuel regardless. I am trying to change that about to "7" which would provide for a long duration trip.

Btw, this also holds true for the XR5 as well.

Advice would be appreciated,

You trying to increase the tank size is that it?

Because in the config, when you rig the XR's up for long duration, what it does is increase the fuel efficency of the engines. So that same tank will now provide you with enough burn time to go where you need to go.

As for fuel tanks, that is a different setting, the one that determines if payload bay tanks are required. I am not sure if you can directly edit the amount of fuel the XR-2 can hold, but if there is a line for it, it would be found in the cheat code section of the config, at the end.

Ahh..

I would have thought the fuel quantity would change on the ships fuel guage when changing the fuel load value in the CFG file... If I read you correctly, the efficiency of the engines are increased?

I think the values are from 1 to 7..

I'll check again this evening and see if the engines appear to be more efficient.
