Hi,
I wanted to use the XR1 for transcontinental scramjets flights (new york-paris, for example), and I don't have any problem until I reach Mach 15 or so. that's when I shut the scram jets, lower my altitude, and start losing momentum.
At that point Coolant temperature is high: 70°, and it keeps climbing , it reaches 90 before I reach Paris, and i cant use external coolant in flight. So my systems shut down, and I have to land visually. How do I lower coolant temperature in long atmospheric flights ? Why can't the XR1 use external temperature that is quite low 5°, to cool the coolant?
