Flight Question XR5 Landing Realism

What do you guys think the approach and landing should be like for a large cargo craft like the vanguard? Currently i do semi-powered landings since the glide ratio is pants.
Any thoughts?

You can also do unpowered landings. Just drop towards the beginning of the runway lights like a stone at a really steep angle, so you don't loose speed (should be about 25° FPA), and pull up when you are about to intercept the ILS glide slope. The Shuttle does pretty much the same.

Yeah, I find the basic technique is to drop like a rock towards the runway and pull back to level your descent only for touchdown.
