Your favorite old games!

The old AD&D games. Pools of Radiance, Eye of the Beholder, etc. The graphics and interactivity would be horrible by todays standards, but I enjoyed them.

There was also an old space game, that relatively realisticaly tried to simulate space travel. Can't remember the name of it, all I can remember are square "wheel" space stations (286s back in '89 couldn't handle doing a polygon torus).

Ah... Damn I feel old now. :/

Loved the Aces Series. Had the collection which had Red Barron, Aces over Europe, Aces of the Pacific and A-10 Tank Killer. Played it the same time with Wing Commander II.

It sure was a great feeling to survive with the realism at max. Probably the most exciting was coming home and landing in a P-38J with the port engine smoking from a dive bombing mission where the target was only partially destroyed. (Oh, and I had 2 F109 kills and the port engine choked on some flack).

The thing I remember about AotP was that you could get wounded and fly almost all the way home, only to pass out and die just before getting to the base. That, and the really cool thing was that you could fly the attack on Pearl Harbor from the Japanese side in a Kate torpedo bomber, complete with the circuitous route around the Hawaiian mountains. And intercepting giant flying boat bombers with a P-38. And fighting against historical aces in dogfights. What a great game that was.

Wow. What a thread necro (over a year). In this case I'm not complaining, and I'll add Sopwith to the list.

Just because it's older than I am doesn't mean it isn't fun!

I still play Age of Empires II, but Vista can't run SimCity 3000 correctly, so I went with 4.
I'm surprised, both those games were apparently made in 1999. Each over a decade old.
