The good news of the day is that I start looking about installer and packaging. This doesn't mean that UCGO will come next week (there is still a lot of beta test to make as I'll release three addons in same time) but it mean that the project is now in final phase.

You can still expect it for one tuesday of december.

Notice the release candidate of Orbiter doesn't simplify the release, I don't want to upload one addon that may become obsolet 2 days after. But I'm testing also on Orbiter09 beta and it work well but not with the Orbiter_ng.exe where it require a compilation with Orbiter2009 SDK and somes changes.

In anyway I don't think any big addon will be updated anytime soon to support opengl drawing and Orbiter_ng without this is still the same directx7 version than Orbiter.exe. So I have several month left to make an eventual OpenGl update.

I have had trouble running the NG addon anyway. I tried it and everything runs very slow and very small. I have no doubt it is a quality addon, but I always seem to be 1 to 2 video cards behind the time anyway. :P

One problem with having a base model Orbiter and an enhanced graphics Orbiter- you need two different copies of your one add-on!

The road to misery is paved with good intentions! One cannot develop in a vacuum- that is of course unless the vacuum is space. :thumbup:
