What do all of you think about Steorn's claims that they have developed a new type of motor technology that is over 100% efficient?
Basically, Steorn claims that their new E-Orbo motor does not experience back EMF and puts out more energy than you put in.
Here is a video of "talk" about their technology. In the video they perform some experiments that seems to verify their claim the system does not experience back EMF.
Introduction to an Orbo Electromagnetic Interaction - Part 1 - Steorn
There is an ongoing demo of the technology that is taking place at the Waterways Centre in Dublin, Ireland.
What do you make of this technology? My understanding is that if you are getting torque from an electric motor you must ALWAYS have back EMF.
However, Steorn's scope traces seem to indicate their system does not.
I'm fascinated.
