Will the Orulex be ever compatible with orbiter 2010 P1 ?
It's a superb addon and it would be great if it was possible to use it with the newest version of orbiter.
Have you tried if Orulex for O2010 works with Orbiter 2010-P1 yet?
If it doesn't, then I'm sure that OGLA graphics client, that has built-in Orulex will be updated for Orbiter 2010-P1 in some time (only Artlav knows when).
Just check them. Maybe Orulex for O2010 works with Orbiter 100830, and it doesn't need to be updated at all. I would try it if I was interested, but not right now (later, when I'm at home). But if you just wanted to say that you tried it and it doesn't work, so it needs to be updated, then I'm sorry, but I can't help you, and you need to wait for the answer from Artlav.

I tend to agree with you. Orulex lends a certain ambience to Orbiter that is otherwise missing. I tried it in both 100606 and 100830, it seemed to work reasonably well, but for the fact that it would CTD when I tried returning to the Launch menu. For now I'm not using it, but intend to experiment with it later after resolving some issues with other addons.
As far as I know, that is because of incompatibility with the new deallocate shutdown method of Orbiter 2010. Change your shutdown settings to "respawn orbiter process" and see if it still happens (Launchpad->Extra->Debugging options->Orbiter shutdown options).
For me, Orulex seems to be functioning properly now, at least for 2010 P1. I had a slightly different experience with 100606. Also, I'm using ver. 1.2 of Orulex.
I didn't see this thread and posted my error, which was the same as IgnoreThisBarrel's, in the other thread referenced above... sorry.
Tried the respawn fix and that seemed to work, but I'll do more testing.
I stand corrected. Just ran a scenario (Ultimate BASE jumping, which starts at an altitude of 70k) and got an almost immediate CTD after the load, with the following message:
A search for ogla.log turns up nothing on my hard drive.
This is not a newer thread on the same subject. This was only a question that has been answered, with redirects to other threads.
You should post error reports on the other threads either in OGLAClient 100608, if the error is for either version of OGLAclient posted on that thread, or in Orulex for O2010, alpha testing, if you use that add-on.
That way, the author of either of these mods will see your reports, and more likely answer you or make a fixed version if problem gets identified.
