Do they have a swimming machine on the ISS?

(bringing back memories of me training how to swim on one of those in Grade 1, when my school has yet to get a swimming pool :shifty:)

wouldnt a swimming machine require some sort of centrifuge to keep the water from wandering off around the whole habitable volume of the ISS?

Well, i did try to make a 1.21 Jigowatt plasma speaker, but the cloud ran out of juice after the first note...

Just read a paper by a friend's professor about the differences if you learn a second language before the age of 6. If he is right Switzerland should be only geniuses, probably that's the reason why CERN is there...

AFAIK almost no one in switzerland learns a second language before their 6. year.

What about immigrant families?
Everyone in kindergarten/playfield speaks one language, and at home they speak the other.

Well, I guess that's the case, but next to a lot of other factors they often don't have the money for a proper education and all the other stuff that better fits the Basement...

We are all gonna die...... :uhh:

Magnitude possibly up to -16! Oh my :censored: goodness!

Astronomy Now: New comet might blaze brighter than the full Moon

A new comet has been discovered that is predicted to blaze incredibly brilliantly in the skies during late 2013. With a perihelion passage of less than two million kilometres from the Sun on 28 November 2013, current predictions are of an object that will dazzle the eye at up to magnitude —16. That's far brighter than the full Moon. If predictions hold true then C/2012 S1 will certainly be one of the greatest comets in human history, far outshining the memorable Comet Hale-Bopp of 1997 and very likely to outdo the long-awaited Comet Pan-STARRS (C/2011 L4) which is set to stun in March 2013.

I started to learn English by 4, Javanese by 8, German (discontinued after three months) at 16, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese at 21, so what does this make me? /delusional

Just started thinking how amazing it is we can see boats like that from space. Old news, I know. But you gotta admit, it is pretty cool.

A medical student is something you don't find in every family.

On the other hand: A person living in a country with a high diversity
