So my 8800gtx RMA story gets more interesting. The n9800gtx turned out to be to good to be true.
Upon a second RMA, MSI found my card to be faulty and offered to replace the card.
Well it turns out that MSI no longer has my card in stock, and offered me an n9800GTX.
However, they later said that they don't have those in stock either. So they offered me an n9600GT, which is considerably slower that the card I have now.
When I told them I didn't want a slower card, they offered me an nx8800 GT or GTS.
Yah, thats right, I paid $499 for a video card that has serious defects in manufacturing and quality, only to send it back(twice), wait 4 weeks, and get a slower card than I paid for.
Seriously, hHow can they not have any nx8800gtxs, n9800GTXs, or anything else that is comparable?
The RMA guy said I may have to wait several months before something equal or better comes in stock.
Very disappointed with MSI's RMA process at this point.
This has to be against some law somewhere.
