I turned it on so I could use it with the XR2 on ISS approach, but it CTDs every time on every scenario when it's on

I'm trying to start up Orbiter 2010 on Windows 7, and it crashes a few seconds into startup each time. It happens on all scenarios and in two separate installs. Disabling all modules doesn't work. Orbiter.log doesn't show anything unusual. Does anybody have any ideas why this is happening...
I've been playing D&D on and off with a group of four or five friends for about two years now. We're planning on getting our first serious campaign started this fall (still using 3.5, of course; 4e was a let-down in my opinion). It's really one of my fondest hobbies; reading those core rulebooks...
I'm not a strict supporter of developing an HLV, but why exactly do some people see it as unnecessary? I know that Chris Kraft himself said the idea was bad, and I'd trust his judgment, so could somebody explain to me why it's not a good idea?
I've been (for the most part) steadily on O-F since September of last year. When I rejoined, I was playing Orbiter a lot, and that continued for months. At some point, though, I started to play less and less and got to the point where I was thinking about it a lot but actually playing very...
A few days ago, Toady FINALLY released a new version of DF: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=51948
Among the HUGE number of updates are arena mode and healthcare, which are elaborated on in that link.
I thought the few DF playing members of O-F would like to know, if they didn't...

A Dwarf Fortress succession fort
Welcome to Furymetal, O-F's first DF succession fort! For the unaware, Dwarf Fortress is an amazing procedurally generated indie game where you construct and manage a fortress of dwarves. A succession or bloodline fort is one where a group of players...
I've recently gotten back into DF, and I've been interested in trying a bloodline fort. Are there any DF players here on O-F who might want to start one with me?
(For those who don't know, Dwarf Fortress is an AMAZING procedurally generated ASCII game where you run a construct and control a...
I've recently become interested in the Dnepr launch vehicle. I'm considering possibly attempting it as an addon project when I get better at developing. However, I'm a little confused about its third stage; from what I can tell, it jettisons after second stage burnout with its engines facing...
So in the past few days, I've decided to try my hand at actually creating an addon. I picked up Blender yesterday and after following a tutorial to get the basics I created this:
Not much but I'm rather proud of how it turned out. I have no idea how to texture it, and I'm not going to worry...
I live in New Orleans, and whenever my dad and I go out east on I-10 we detour to pass by the Michoud plant to look at the S-IC sitting outside it. I've been wondering recently what exactly Michoud is doing right now. I'm guessing that all the Shuttle ETs have already been made, and Ares is too...
I grab pretty much any addon that looks cool. Sometimes I stick it into a test installation to mess with it, sometimes I just forget about it. My downloads folder (which, on this computer, consists mainly of Orbiter downloads) has about 2.5 gigs of Orbiter addons alone. How many do you have?
Is there a way to guarantee an r-bar approach to a space station? Normally, I just end up somewhere behind it (which is okay but I'd like to do it on the r-bar so I can do TORVAs).
I want to use Wideawake as a near-equatorial launchpad for Soyuz, but I don't think there'd be a good way to add the rotating launchpad to it and have it look good. Any suggestions?
(This isn't a major problem, as I'm okay with using Kourou's ELS, but I'd prefer to have all my launches at WIN.)...
My typical rendezvous procedure (as I'm sure it is with many Orbinauts) is to launch into the proper orbit, align planes, sync orbits and dock within five or six orbits of MECO. I'm working on a project based on a fiction space agency, and I'm looking for more realistic procedures. As I recall...
I'm attempting to get to Europa using TransX. I made the flight but ended up with a very high encounter velocity (14 km/s) that made it impossible to insert into orbit. Further attempts at planning it result in a similarly high encounter vel. How can I get to Europa at a slow enough velocity for...
I'm looking for an upper stage that can put roughly the same amount of payload into TLI as the S-IVB, but will fit into a Buran-T (which means it has to be at most 5.8m in diameter). Any help?
