Hi everybody.
I love the AreoBrakeMFD. It's quite the best to reenter.
I've used it a lot of times with both Orbiter 2010 and 2006.
Today i opened the MFD again in 2010 but suddenly the DGIV manual reentry autopilot began to spin the ship around very crazy. I activated the Framerate view in the upper right corner and the FPS was only 21! If i press F1 to get the outer view FPS jumps directly to 60 and the Autopilot stops being crazy and holds the ship stable. If i go inside and press PWR to turn of the MFD the Framerate jumts to 60 up too. The Autopilat is then stable too.
This happens only in 2010 (i tried it in 2006. Framerate doesn't drop)

What could it be?

Have you by accident turned on the Aerobrake's AoA, bank or altitude autopilots? If they are used together they may issue conflicting commands to the DGIV.

No, all the Autopilots of AerobrakeMFD are off. The FPS is sucked this all Vessels in all Situations. e.g. Standard DG docked to ISS. Open AerobrakeMFD and voila, the FPS is 21.

hmm, i get about 20 FPS anyway, coz my laptop is a little old, but the AP still works fine, i dont think your problem is in your framerate

think my problem is framerate because it looks like jumping. The ship is jumping all the way about 50 cm and not floating. The autopilot notices every frame waht is to do but cannot stop his rcs thuster early enough due to that jumping.
I just installed another Orbiter 2010 with almost all my addons (things like ragtag stargates that i don't need haven't installed). There the FPS is sucked by 1 FPS (form 60 to 59) which is no problem. I don't know that is the problem of my old Orbiter 2010 installation. The ragtag can't be the problem because FPS is sucked in simple scenarios too. Example: 2 vessels: ISS (UCGO ISS) and a docked standard DG. Open the MFD and Framerate is 20. Same in new Orbiter installation -> Framerate is 59 with MFD open.

HA! I've found a problem!
I added the Ultra-hi-res Earth map for Map MFD and the Framerate dropped also in my new Orbiter installation. removed it again and the framerate stays op normally. But that's not the problem of my old installation: I removed the ultra-hi-res-map but the framerate doesn't change.

HA now i finally found the problem!
there were 2 problems:
1st: ultra-hi-res-map
2nd: MFD refresh rate! is was set to 0.01. I've changed it to 1.00 and everything works fine!

I've found the Aerobrake MFD autopilot modes unusable in O2010p1. The step length is to short causing resonant pitching to an arbitrarily large magnitude.

Strange, there are no probs using AB MFD AP in the upper atmosphere for me. It's not the step but the PID coefficients that have to be tuned to the particular craft, and very often to the particular air speed. The stability zone of the APs is quite small, though.
