Request Any SLS and Orion MPCV in development?

Its just SetThrusterDir in the end... and yes, it expects an direction vector as input.

Now, you have only two rotations for every thruster, pitch and yaw. Roll is achieved by pitching/yawing in different directions (ideally tangential, for maximum effect)

The direction of every thruster is the weighted sum of all available pitch, roll and yaw commands for each thruster...

yes, thats math. But thats simple math in the end.

For you maybe. I looked at the code (SHHLV). So would it be applied to 4 thrusters?

Thanks. I got it and send the stuff.

On the thread it said I don't have access to it.

There's a problem with the files on dropbox, there's more info in the PM I sent.

Also, the thread I made is the The Basement, and unless you opt-in, you don't see it or have access to it. There's a thread explaining what it is right here.

Because I like Space Launch System and Orion so much, I would really enjoy a complete simulator addon that would have the following.

All Space Launch System Models.
Orion MPCV
Asteroid Capture/Redirect Vehicle (ARV)
Mars mission habitat
SEV (Space Exploration Vehicle {rover})
Landers for Mars and the Moon
Phobos and Deimos bases
Missions to asteroids, Phobos, Deimos, the Moon, Mars, and the ISS.
ect.

I am going over the top.:blahblah: Personally, If you could make an addon for SLS and Orion as good as AMSO Apollo, I think it would be the best addon ever!

I get a CTD.
been updating the tower and platform:

Now. on the velcro rockets. It looks like you set the fairing, payload, exhaust.
So why do a Dll?

on these:
All Space Launch System Models.
Orion MPCV
Asteroid Capture/Redirect Vehicle (ARV) DONE
Mars mission habitat
SEV (Space Exploration Vehicle {rover}) DONE
Landers for Mars and the Moon
Phobos and Deimos bases
Missions to asteroids, Phobos, Deimos, the Moon, Mars, and the ISS.
ect.

Nice work John!

I know that beggers can't be choosers, but would it be possible to make those LUT swing arms variable (so I could use Direct with it, as well as SLS)?

Or at least get a version of the LUT without any at all (just for the sake of appearances)?

Either way. 'tis looking good so far!

What do you mean Variable?

I was wondering about the arms. Can they move up and down? If so I can make them do that and swing.

Do not sure how many of them and there is a arm with a white box on it that has the crew access.

I guess an attachment for the main body. I think this is the way to go But I don't think any other pads have that?

Well, by variable I mean move up and down to accommodate launchers of different heights. So basically just what you were thinking.

BrianJ has a launch pad (41? maybe...) that has a arm that drops out of the way as the rocket leaves the pad (even works with a multistage2 rocket), whereas yours would rotate, but the idea is the same. Kultch's pad for his Energy Project can be configured via scenario editor (but is only dynamic with his Energia).

The "real" LUT should have adjustable mechanisms, up to a point I would think. I remember reading that it was intended to service several different launchers.

I can do that. It looks like there are rails on one side and front. On the side it appears 3 arms. ! of them has the crew box.

On the front. There appears a fixed arm that fits around the body. It will rotate for launch. Then maybe 2 arms for fuel? The lower one has a small track while the upper one can the whole track.

That is doable. I guess a key for launch would animate the arms away and release the vessel, right?

Nope. The Mobile Launcher (ML) was originally created for the Ares I Crew Launch Vehicle (CLV). When the Constellation Program (CxP) got canceled and SLS was announced in its place, SLS took over the ML.

It is currently being modified to handle the much larger SLS by giving it a much larger exhaust opening. The original exhaust opening was a single 5.3x5.3 m square intended for the Ares I first stage exhaust.

The new exhaust opening for SLS is rectangular in shape to accommodate both the SRBs and the RS-25's on the Core Stage.

The umbilical arms consists of both so called swing arms to simply swing clear of the vehicle and "Tilt Up Umbilical Arms" (TUUAs), that rotate upwards at release.

Crew Access Arm: Swing Arm
Orion Service Module Umbilical: TUUA
Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage umbilical: Swing Arm
Core Stage Forward Skirt umbilical: Swing Arm
Vehicle Stabilizer: Drop down
Core Stage Intertank umbilical: Swing Arm
Tail Service Mast umbilical: TUUA

Those are not rails but columns on which the hinge structures for the umbilical arms are attached to.

ok. I will need to see where they are.

This is the one with the white box, right?
Crew Access Arm: Swing Arm

There are 2 more swing arms on that side. It looks like the rail/column are on both sides.

The vertical stabilizer is in the center and tilts down on launch, right

Thanks. Then what is that Swing arm that is across the side .next to the cs FWD Skirt

It looks like those columns are on both sides.

An access arm. Once again, watch this video, it is very accurate in terms of details. It was created for the SLS Program Preliminary Design Review (PDR).

It looks like (on the picture DaveS posted) that the white room (?) wraps around to the opposite side.

That's a pretty excellent and detailed picture!

This one has the white room. I think on DaveS's image you are seeing the access arm with the White box from the other side.

I see different access arms on the annotated picture, I would imagine they're ground crew access to the vehicle umbilicals, probably retracted when the vehicle is hooked up and fueling, I imagine it's done long before the crew access arm is retracted. I think to save yourself the trouble of making all these arms swing just leave the fuel arms and the crew access arm to retract before launch.
