Project Atlas A ICBM: America's First

How do you like the new scenarios?

I took the AP off the historical scenarios so that you guys can have a challenge and see if you can match up to the actual flight. Not sure what the entire flight plan was though. Maybe Urwumpe knows.

It's possible. I'm sure the telemetry's somewhere. I do know that the apogee was about 500 miles (theoretically).

If you can help me look for it on the web that would be appreciated.

Sorry, I found nothing. The closest thing to telemetry I got was Peacekeeper up against the R-7. Other than that, no one has posted anything. I'm just getting specs and history. By the way, I did find that a possible launch vehicle for Dyna-Soar was the Atlas E/D.

Me neither. Oh well, Guess that is for the pilot to choose.

Yes, I don't think it has to be COMPLETELY accurate. Even now, I'm still debating whether to release some historically fictitous Mercury scenario's (the Atlas scenario is based on the "I Dream of Jeannie" pilot episode, with the launch date as the original air date). Although, I'm not sure who would want to download them.

Go ahead if you would like to do that.

Do you think anyone would want them? How about if I open a new thread and take a poll?

That's a good idea. Why don't you do that and see if it is worth trying.

I updated the scenarios so that it will use the Launch Complex 14. You must download it first though.

Some pictures if the new scenarios.

Wonderful! But on Pad 14, rotate the Atlas to a heading of 195. That should align it with the pad.

I'll have an update in a few minutes.+
