Project Atlas A ICBM: America's First

Good! Then I can fix and match them to the rocket as needed just by changing the DDS files ;).
Step one is ongoing and is getting the general look of the rocket right.
Step two will be to adding the small details, like logos, numbering, etc.
 
It should be up on O-H in a bit.

I hope 4throck can fix this because he is the one who is better at texturing. I inverted the bmp. file and on the most part it was fixed except for this.

I'm still looking for the GIMP dds. plug in though and I can't find it.

The guidance files are updated. Instead of the unrealistic launch from east to west I changed some of them to west to east.

After the textures are corrected we will start on the Atlas B.
 
Okay, good to know. But I think you should take that break you were looking for after A and before B. Is that okay with you?

Yes, now I can change the textures and see what are the problems. It came out good though for a first try. I'll look into it as soon as possible. I'm also working on a Agena-B mesh so as development moves to the latter Atlas it might come in handy :-)
 
Thanks for doing this. The Agena sounds interesting! By the way, if you check out the Mercury scenarios Mr. MJR posted for me, you'll see that your textures are used. Please let me know if you like them (the scenarios, not the textures!).

You might want to make a texturing tutorial because not many people can. I can mesh and make everything else except I can't texture. It will be a hit if you do. Thanks for helping me out with this too. Hopefully all goes well.
