General Question Galaxy Development

Do you need anymore help? I am anxious to see how this add on will turn out.

i got the exhaust looking ok. it turns a strange green color but thats not too important.

do you want me to send you the whole ship and just tell you the coordinates for the docking ports once they're correct?

Ummm.......try doing the coordinates by yourself to see if you can get a challenge.

You said that the exhaust is a green color? Make sure that no other streams are conflicting with that one.

i know i can do the coordinates, it's just going to take a little time, didn't know if you want to test it.

I'll test it out after you get the coordiantes perfected. Keep up the progress.

all right.

till then i'm off to bed.

and thanks for all the help so far.

good morning.

i did a test run to see how it works and now that i've added the PMI the ship won't turn fast enough to circularize the orbit. i speed off on my way to the pegasus galaxy, straight up 90 degrees.

the ship launches but it is sunk into the ground right from the start now. and still falls. i think i've plagued it somehow.

the textures look much better for the exhaust, and i personaly don't feel like fixing the green, gives the ship a little charachter.

i have not gotten around to checking the docking ports since i can't even make it orbit now.

Your attitude thrust might be too weak.

i'll try increasing it.

and it appears that it no long starts falling into the ground anymore!

and the docking ports are within centimeters

Good. Your attitude thrust all depends on the mass of your spacecraft. Try messing around and see how it works.

ok, right now the thrust is half of the main engines thrust and it's still weak

and i was wrong, it still falls :-(

SIZE=1640
EMPTY_MASS=5000
FUEL_MASS=300000
MAIN_THRUST=6400000
ATTITUDE_THRUST=55000000
ISP=6054

it still turns like the titanic and runs out of fuel MUCH faster

i've made a work around for the "titanic" problem of it turning too slow.

docking ports are well aligned in reference to the XR-5 ports. but the ship continues to fall through the ground. i'm lost as to what to do next.

and theres the inevitable problem of the ship being off balance with the XR-5's docked. it would have a hard time fullfilling it's role as a interplanetary transfer vehicle.

about how high do you suggest the COG should be?

Let me test it out. Send me the scenario file real quick because I lost it.

i'll just send the whole thing, the mesh is slightly improved and i got a good second scenario to test the docking port alignment
