Gaming Hielor's Minecraft Server

Everything is built by hand. Even the materials are hand collected.

Visited Astrosammy's theater last night. Very nice work. Tell us when premier is :)

Unrelated, my new office has some interesting views to offer:

Looks like fun to explore, but a pain in the a** to build. Do you really build block by block or use some kind of tool ?
The theater make me suggest a variation, an arena for players and monsters like a little coliseum.

We already have a coliseum in the old world. (minus the little) :)

blane, looks like you built the corporate offices of Zombie-Enderman-Creeper Demolition Company

Btw, jedimaster, I haven't seen you on the server so far. I was wondering whether your underground path could be used as subway tunnel as well...

I'm meman on the server, btw :P and which path, and what do you plan? i'd be glad to help :)

Oh lol. I should have read your signature. Then of course we have met. I meant your underwater base in the harbor. I plan to add a (public) subway line connecting the theater with the other side of the bay. Since your base is already in the optimal height and direction, it would be easier to use this structure as help (railway could be built next to it).

We can talk in detail next time you're on the server.

Wow, I have one? Didn't know that. :lol:

Err, I meant Arrowstar. Stupid nicks starting with A :lol:

Here's my idea:

harbour%20subway.jpg

White = peninsula
Black = Glass
Red= lava river
Brown = railway
Grey = empty / redstone torches or etc.

If we go straight out from the peninsula, we minimize the amount of glass from the western side.

I'll meet up into my dome, and it will form a t-shape.

Where you plan to go after the eastern side of the harbor is up to you.

Err, wouldn't that kind of curtail ship operations in the harbor?

Blane: Yeah, when you get to the point where you're ready to start moving the subway my way, let me know. Be happy to help plan it out. :)

No, it will be deep enough on level 44 (same height as underwater base). The construction has begun:

Any idea who did this to the blaze grinder?

Lava pouring in from the top, completely disabling it.

EDIT: Guess someone hit the emergency shutdown lever. Nevermind.

I like the design of the subway. Keep it up.:thumbup:

Some more progress on the Windswept Theater (I gave it a name now)! I think we're nearing completion here, everything remaining is just details. I even added the theater marker to the dynamic map of the server. Here we go with the pictures.

I prettied up the path to the theater and gave it lots of light and dramatic fire. The glass pane siding idea I stole from blane. :cheers:

The outside of the theater. Not much different, just more fire.

Buy your tickets at the box office: we have staff now! :lol:

The new view from VIP Box #1. I cut down the trees to improve visibility, added a river and bridge to the stage, and added a lighting system. Looks much better now!

Underneath the theater are the dressing rooms (shown here), manager's office, and conference rooms. Yes, that mirror is made up of iron blocks (and wool). I thought it gave it a nice touch, and I wanted something "shiny" for the mirror!

A picture of Conference Room A, known as "Shakespeare."

Finally, a picture of my office in the theater! It's small, but I think it's kinda cozy. I'm looking into adding a fireplace or something, we'll see.

Last thing to figure out is stage access from the lower level view piston elevator. This might take some time, we'll see if I can pull it off.

I hope you guys enjoy the theater. :)
