Yeah, Chrome just works O.K. on all posts. Firefox doesn't!
It seems like the gecko engine currently has problems here.

No problems with quoting either of posts starting from #18 and ending on #23 (I haven't tested others) in Pale Moon.

Do you use Standard, Basic, or WYSiWYG post editor?

My setting is/was : "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing".

Thanks for the hint about the editor setup! Here my results:

"Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" does not work.
"Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls" works.
"Basic Editor - A simple text box" works, too.
