Putting this thing back on track, again...
I've been around this community almost since the beginning. While the obviously female members of the Orbiter Community seem to be few, there has always been a female presence. Some of the reasons for their seeming rareness probably has more to do with the problems that are presented to a female when their gender is made obvious on the Internet. The harassment can be incredible.
As to their rareness on this forum, the reasons stated previously are quite valid. Why get involved in discussions that can devolve into misogyny, un-intelligence, provincialism ... and can't seem to stay on topic?
