I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right spot.

I have been using Orbiter for years, but I have never learned how to "stick" existing rockets, boosters and craft to each other. Basically, the various stages, like with Velcro rockets. How can I learn to take a base rocket and stick things to it like multiple stages followed by the craft/lander?

Does this have to be manually programmed in with codes and such? Is it something that I would need to know a programming language to do?

Not really. Putting it all together in Orbiter is typically done just through the scenario file that's found in the scenario folder. And editing is all done just by notepad. So the syntax there is what you need to learn to know.

Read up on this one here.

To give you an idea. It might be dated on the orbiter variant. But I don't think much has changed in how scenarios are written in the latest version.

Also, depending on the rocket, or spacecraft you are trying to put together. It's best to consult their own particular manuals for how things are put together. Or at the least, read on how their included scenario files are written to give you an idea on how it's done.
