Now I`m wondering what size booster would be the most optimal. Big booster that supports high mass high volume payloads allowing assambly of large structures in space relatively easy vs small booster with high flight rate, but severe payload mass and size limitations. I`m sure there has to be some sort of middle ground.
What can be considered high flight rate? 1 per month, 2 per month, 1 per week?
I can easily imagine situations where even a Sea Dragon class BDB would get a high flight rate for example construction of orbital solar power sattelites actually capable of supplying large portion of world`s energy needs. Establishing a significant industrial capacity in space also would require some serious hardware. Construction of large deep space exploration vessels (something like Deepstar - imagine building that if you are limited to Falcon 9).
