Hello everyone.
I decided to set up a thread for people to post interesting things they do with Orbiter for the benefit of bored Orbinauts. I'm making a list in this post, starting with a few things I thought of myself, and if I see anything in the thread that looks interesting/useful I may add it to the list. I plan eventually to put the list/a list on a Web site I'm working on.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any effects these suggestions may have on you, your computer, your Orbiter install, your free time, or anything else.
The List:
#1. Do a Earth to Moon flight with a Arrow Freighter carrying a DGIV and loaded with UCGO inflatable bases, a flag, fuel, supplies etc. In short, materials for a long term Moon base. Send the DGIV down to the surface to establish a nav beacon, bring the Arrow down, and establish your base. You now have a lunar platform for launching flights, idling UmmU's, refueling your DGIV's/XR5's/what-have-yous, et cetera.
#2. (Contributed by insanity) Go read this post. It describes, in some detail, a very detailed, if rather story/purposeless, flight plan. Credit for the post goes to flytandem.
#3. Build your own space station with the Space Station Building Blocks if you haven't already done so.
PS: I will give credit to everyone whose ideas I use in my list.
Thank you to everyone contributing their suggestions. Keep up the good work!
