Hello folks; I've had this problem ever since getting the latest version of Orbiter; I'm finally asking about it.
The problem is this: the texture of Rwy 33/15 at KSC disappears when landing. Most of my flight is with Shuttle Fleet v4.8 recently; my TAEM and approach goes normally right up until landing. The runway appears normal until the nosewheel contacts the asphalt. Somewhere around the later half of the runway when the ship has slowed to around 80kts., the runway texture disappears and the underlying ground texture appears. The Rwy's borders are still visible though. Also, if I turn my head (pan the camera) to the side and slightly up, the runway reappears.
For the record I've downloaded alternate runway textures but once I began noticing the issue I reloaded the originals; same effect. It's not unique to Shuttle Fleet; buzzing or taxiing any personal-sized aerospacecraft down the runway causes the same effect so whatever's causing it, it's a mater of how close the eyepoint is to the runway.
It's not a big deal by any means; just a bit annoying. If anyone has a fix I'd be grateful.
Cheers!
