News Low-Density Supersonic Decelerator (LDSD) Atmospheric Test Flight

I watched it live a couple of hours back just around 10PM GMT, I missed the launched after 5PM, I had forgotten about it.

The disappointment from the folks there was tough. The hardship of space engineering.
 
The Chute deployed partially, then the canopy shredded. The previous test was better, as there was still SOME canopy left. There didn't seem to be any functional canopy this time.

I found footage of the test flight, but it's the low resolution version that was downlinked and played live. The chute deployment occurs at 4:37:07, but the resolution is too low to tell how bad the deployment was.

Yeah... Looks like the lines in the canopy held together last time... this time, I think the chute tore apart completely. Looked like the chute may have torn into at least two separate pieces...
