Is the server up right now? I cant connect.
Anyone interested in a 'Virtual AirVenture' fly-in to Oshkosh in the next couple days? The real event is July 25-31. Everyone could fly in from your home airport on your own schedule, land whenever you arrive, and those that can, leave your FSX running & connected to the server after you park so others can see you are there.
Just an idea, maybe bring the FSX simmers on the board more 'together' in a sense.
Thoughts?

IDK about breaking wine bottles, but I'm up for a fly-in. :lol:
LOL Fixed. It pasted my previously copied link.
My only gripe about Chrome. Copy function doesn't always work right for me. Happens on all my machines, sometimes have to hit CTRL-C twice to replace the previously-copied link.

I'm going to head that direction, will probably fly a series of short hops to get there as I have time. Should be able to arrive in Oshkosh later tonight or sometime tomorrow.

I'm on now, KHUL to KRFD, 2nd leg of my trip to KOSH.
The server was unexpectedly down for a couple days about a week ago, but it should have been up yesterday at the time you posted. Are you still having the problem? Others seem to be able to connect...
Australia to USA? Could we start somewhere nearer (ie. KLAX)?

I think i know whats wrong. Fsx Acceleration Expansion pack has sp2 right?
If so that's it. I didn't install it since it can only be activated twice.
Am i correct?
I'll be getting on in about an hour, flying the last leg of the flight, KRFD to KOSH.

Just landed the Baron. Luckily I got her pulled off in the grass just to the right of RWY 36 before my TrackIR froze (first time it's done that).
Will leave FSX up for a bit but will shut down before bed.

You need to have either Acceleration or FSX SP2 installed in order to use the server, yes. If you've hit the activation limit on your copy of acceleration, you can call the Microsoft activation line and have them activate it over the phone, assuming that you only have it on the one computer.
Ok. I was just wondering since you said "home airport". Thanks. It might lag for me since my internet is slow (currently). I'll try flying in from KLAX ASAP.

Actually it was n122vu who mentioned "home airport", but the main object is to meet up, not where you flight originates from.
I just tied my Baron down at KOSH. I used jets flying EKVG --> BIKF --> KTEB, and a Baron for KTEB --> KLAN --> KOSH. 2900 nm in 3 days isn't ½bad. :lol:
I'd planned to overnight in Detroit, but I diverted to KLAN because I didn't want to go IFR.

It's quite enjoyable to follow the real world VFR approach.
I flew a Grumman AA-5B Tiger from KHNB to KHUF on Friday. Saturday night I flew a Cessna 152 from KHUF to KRFD, then last night flew the Baron IFR from KRFD. There had been some storms in the area about an hour before I flew, so winds were still fun when I landed.
Which Tiger addon are you using? I looked around for one a while back but never seemed to find a good-quality one for FSX that had realistic flight parameters. The one that came closest had been edited so that the propeller was giving significantly more thrust than it ought to...
