sorry to change the subject a little here, but do we have a plan/schematic of the OFSS? id like to know exactly how big it will be (i know you've already said "it will dwarf the shuttle")

I will spoil you all if you really want to know (this is up to STS-152)
OFSS2 should look like this by June. Also, by this point the station is on 45% complete.

Looks good Kyle! I think by posting a screen shot of the station in a more advanced stage of construction gives people an idea what to expect. Like I mentioned for my mission, it would have been much easier if I had an example screen shot of what the station was to look like. For example, this is how the original OFSS was supposed to look after it was totally completed, but I couldn't continue the project myself before getting to that stage:

Tex's scenario (and all scenarios) are currently posted here. Tex's scenario has just been included as Tex experienced some problems during his flight, so I had to try to fix it out. Enjoy!

We've had a bit of delay with Dragon 8 on Samuel's ends for very understandable reasons. So I've decided to post up the scenario before he posts the screenshots, though he'll still post the screenshots. Enjoy.

Thanks for being giving me another flight, unexpected but not unwelcome! I've flown the Pollux-Castor a few times and it's a very nice addition. Though I can't shake the niggling feeling that its "new type of liquid fuel" has Uranium as the secret ingredient. :lol: But hey, I don't live near the cape so I'm sure it's all fine. For SCIENCE!

By the way, is my Dragon mission a crew or a cargo mission? Because I had a couple of ideas for possible commercial research payloads that could greatly improve the health and morale of future space explorers. Because it involves food and booze, obviously.

The station's docking ports have neither IDS frequencies or visual docking aids. This leaves only DockingMFD in visual mode.

Thanks for the headsup, I had a problem reported with this with the last Dragon scenario. I have gone through all Dragon missions and have corrected this.

Also, Neesys does not have a visual docking aid but the next large module, the Multipurpose Docking Module (aka, the SoyuzProgressDockingModule) will have visual docking aids.

I have a problem with the Falcon 9's launch autopilot. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I type in all the launch parameters, including inclination 28 degrees, but the rocket goes into a 90º inc orbit instead, or doesn't even pitch at all, going straight up.

BTW, on the last Dragon launch scenario (haven't tryed the others), the launch window is still a bit far, need to accelerate time a lot until OFSS2's orbital path passes over the Cape.

I don't know how to fix the first problem, I usually go manual when launching Falcon 9's for a challenge.

Try the Universal AutoPilot (by Artlav). Or like Kyle said, go manual. With UAP, I keep an eye on the AlignPlanes MFD, and use the numpad 1 and 3 key to nudge the rocket in the direction I need to minimize the Rinc.

Thanks. I'l give UAP a try, I allways get at least 10º off course in manual, and that's a little bit too much for the Dragon's engines to correct. (only now I remember that there is a compass on the Surface HUD :facepalm::facepalm

For a 28° Inc you have to enter Azimuth of 90° (I find 89° works best)
