Orbiter on BBC Horizon

Can you describe what it is, for those of us not in the UK ?

The bit in question starts at 42:30

The experiment is run by the bases Medic, It is a study to find the optimal frequency for training specialist skills to avoid skill degradation.

She set up a sim pit for a docking between a Soyuz and ISS using orbiter and the subjects(the other base staff) are scored on their performance, one group of subjects(victims) have frequent training and the other less frequent.

This is done during the winter so the subjects literally can not leave, this is used to simulate a space flight.

Seems like a good one to watch if you have the time.

The full name of the program.

Horizon - 2015-2016: 8. Ice Station Antarctica

BBC weatherman Peter Gibbs makes an emotional return to Antarctica, years after he lived and worked at the British Antarctic Survey's Halley Research Station.

Hopefully it will surface on youtube sooner or later.

It's there already....
Very nice setup they have. Even installed OrbiterSound.

Kinda nice seeing the ISSA2Z in Antarctica.:hailprobe:

There are alot of simulations that involve Orbiter. I once saw the re-entry of the Vostok in a museaum, and in the horrible movie called: ''The Amazing Bulk''.
