Philadelphia Phillies-World Champions

So am I the only one who went to the parade today? I skipped work to go and I was near city hall. The crowd was gi-huge-ic! I couldn't get close to the floats, but I stood up on a marble window sill and got a peak. I've never seen so many happy people in Philadelphia. Cats were making friends with dogs.

I'm jealous,Andy! I wasn't at the parade. I'm a teacher, we were instructed that if we took off, we would have to have a "sick" note. They also said that they would not approve our personal days. I understand...We're a medium sized school district, and had 100+ "sick" days before that email went out. We would have a million substitute teachers in the building...it would be a mess.

I saw it on TV, I do love Chase's "f" bomb. Nice Chase.

They should have just canceled school for the day. Half the people I saw downtown looked like they belonged in school anyway.

This is obviously not as good as the Red Sox winning it last year, that was fun. Never even heard of the Phillies!

When it's comming to baseball, I actually don't think that the U.S. Teams would have much of a serious competition from other places in the world... It' just a too american sport.

After all, we seldom have the U.S. at the soccer world championship, now, do we?

Actually the USA has appeared in every World Cup since 1986, they're just not very good when they get there.

I used to root for the Red Sox when they were underdogs, but since the Patriot won the Superbowl and teh Sox won the World Series Boston has become insufferable.

As a Philly fan, I am well aware that we are already hated around the North American sports community, so I am surprised to see even Yankee fans congratulating us. So, my thanks to you all. But I fully expect Philly fans to become pretty obnoxious over the next few months and the honeymoon will end rather quickly. Then NY and Philly and everybody can go back to trash talking as usual.
