So, I see some discussion about good star settings in Orbiter. I did some messing around today, and here is the settings to use:
On PARAMETERS tab,
Apparent magnitude 4.0 mapped to max. brightness 1
Apparent magnitude 13.3 mapped to min. brightness 0.01
Magnitude-brightness mapping: Exponential.
On VISUAL EFFECTS tab,
Celestial Sphere, Realistic Sky ([ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4799"]Realistic background[/ame]) by Dagoo, Intensity 0.11
Here is the result:
