The fact that standard hover control keys don't work the same way as main engines' control keys, and there's no hover shutoff key (like * for mains shutoff).
However, what REALLY gets on my nerves about Orbiter? It's addictiveness.
People who criticise software and add-ons which are all provided for free. Particularly as many of the 'problems' are just as typical in a package purchased from a mainstream company.
I wasn't complaining about the quality of Mustard's work. I thoroughly enjoy every addon that works on my computer. However the problem is, out of the 20 or so addons I have downloaded from that site, about five work. Orbiter loads just fine until the very last moment, when I get a dialogue box that states "Orbiter.exe has encountered a problem yadayadadayada"With all due respect, what is that supposed to mean? Mustard is a brilliant add-on developer and modeler, and I have found his work to be top-quality! Are you sure you are installing everything correctly?
That can be irritating, but you just need to think ahead. Especially on low gravity celestial bodies such as the moon or Mars. The fact that standard hover control keys don't work the same way as main engines' control keys, and there's no hover shutoff key (like * for mains shutoff).

I've put all his addons into a clean installation and I've run the Orbiter diagnostic tool, but no dice. Many of his addons aren't compatible with my computer and I'm really at a loss as to why.
I will be sure to do so. No offense meant to the Francophone community.I do understand that CTDs are frustrating. Remember, though, that most of the add-ons on Mustard's add-on download page were not written by him: of the 68 add-ons on the download page fewer than 1/3 were written by Mustard (he developed 14 [20%] of them and co-developed 4 others). In any case, if you get a CTD with a given add-on please re-test it in a clean installation and post the details to the Add-on Support and Bugs forum so the author(s) and/or other users can troubleshoot it.
Every Logitech joystech I've ever owned has had that same problem. I gave up Logitech altogether. Saitek makes a great Joystick if you can drop the $$$, but be sure to go for the Pro version.astrosammy said:That is also getting on my nerves. My Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick has a bad yaw control so I need to calibrate it every time when I launch windows. And I saw hundreds of other people having the same problem.
Things about Orbiter... well, one thing I'd like, and maybe just haven't found, is how to edit keymap. If it's possible, could someone let me know?
