Project Universal Car for Orbiter (UCO)

That would not be the most efficient way to do it though.
But the simplest one, considering the fact we already have all we need in land mask textures.

Again, why does it matter if boats go on land, always remember: "simulation requires self restraint."

As the mask is poor resolution as far as I know this would lead to all sort of problems and wrong separation land/water.

Better to self restrain as said above.

Driving a real boat requires enough skill to stay away from land, the same should hold true for Orbiter.

And I don't need it either. That was just an idea it's possible with currently existing Orbiter data.

In fact I was thinking about that already as Sail simulator was my first modded game.
(Virtual sailor) and I even started to write my own sail simulator.

Knowing water/land would have allowed to do "half swimming" UMmu also and other fun stuff as local wave/trail.

But ala, this is Orbiter, not a sail simulator

Whenever you release it is okay with me as long as it's on a Tuesday.

Every time you ask for it to be released it gets put back a day.

A public beta will be available beetween christmas and new years I think.
Can't be more precise yet.

Is it possible to do a Pre-Release of just the documentation for those of us who actually DO read the manuals. That way when it actually arrives we will know how to use it already.Thanx in advance.I don't mind a few spelling errors for the sake of learning.

From Dan's current beta forum, it looks like he's planning one more short beta round with the docs before making it a public beta. Maybe next Tuesday? I think I will resume breathing just in case it isn't.

Then again, he said it will be "released" on Tuesday. The public beta could be any time now. Maybe five more minutes?
