You know you're addicted to Orbiter when...

When somebody tells you they've been at the ATM you think they are talking about the Apollo Telescope Mount.

in your job as a web-game developer, you create a Billiards game that uses fouth-order Runge-Kutta integration

but uh... no... i'm not addicted :uhh:

go ahead and try out the game... although it's in portuguese, it should play out pretty straighforward - just point and shoot... ah well, you play Orbiter, you shouldn't have any trouble getting around shotting some Flash Pool

...and, i need some beta testers

Remember to take into account Jupiter's gravity (and it's position relative to Earth), obviously it has an influence on the behaviour of the billard balls

ah! thanks! that explains a few bugs i've been having

Can I set up a slingshot with the billiard balls?

you'd think that's just a funny idea... but i once actually made a game prototype that involved orbital billiards

do not "missunderestimate" the madness :P

I was just thinking something like that... A 3D billiard with planet-textured balls would be a cosmic thing ! That would be played in a huge box instead of a frame I guess :hmm:

You know you're addicted to Orbiter-Forum when you fly a humpback whale named George from the International Space Station all the way to lunar orbit just to make a funny post.

...And then you go and make another post about that post!

Hey, if I start quoting myself, I could get a nice Droste effect, and then make a demotivator about the post about the post about the whale!

... you wait for your launch window to the shops before leaving
... you use reverse instead of the brakes to stop
... you try using killrot while driving

Darren

...when you get a shiny new ATI Radeon HD 5700 and still get 60 fps.
...when you blow up your TI calculator doing orbital calculations, RIP TI 87+.

How the hell did you do that?

My dad wrote a z80 program to do some calculations, and i modified it to do more complex things, then ported it to the TI calculator... in witch i found out that the Z80 isn't a sturdy as I originally thought.

when you stopped dreaming about girls and start to having dreams about running Orbiter on PS3 and have a virtual reality visors to play it

well, lets see...

girlfriend ............................... check!
successful career ................... check!
playing Orbiter on a HoloDeck ... pending!

so i think i'm not -completely- insane yet

Well, you can decide how insane I am.

(This is too inconsistent and lowres, I'll make a better one later)
