Hadn't had the thing for five minutes when I did this.

Also, TIL you can take off backwards...ish.

How large do you think commercial geostationary satellites will get? The largest currently is Alphabus, which can weight in at 8100 kg (though Alphasat/Inmarsat-4A F4 only weighted 6650 kg).

Asking this because I am trying to create a such a satellite bus for a fictional space program.

Mmm. I don't know. Seems like a lot of the music from the "Pop-Tarts" is kind of generic to me. Generic ballads, generic "I'm so fabulous and your a tool", and generic "that boy is so hot" lyrics. The music is generic, and the girls themselves (for the most part) are pretty homogenous.

I stopped listening to pop music about a year before I joined this forum...and I got deeply involved in hip hop music until I realized, this December, that most hip hop artists are no better than their pop counterparts. In fact many are worse.

Pop music is made for giving minimal satisfaction to the masses.

I think that only depends on your budget.

How much satellite do you need? If your VSA only needs a TDRS-like capability for it's own science sats it could go with something with fewer transponders than a Alphabus, which will save money on on the sat itself and on launch costs.

Well, it's not actually for the space agency in question, it's something that a commercial entity might buy if they were to want it. (Immarsat w/ Alphasat, for example)

The agency might lease capability, but the satellite I had in mind would be commercially owned.

I, for one, don't look at the lyrics, instruments and musical composition is just as important to me.
But that's why I prefer musics without lyrics: you just let the composition shine to your ears.
That one of the main reasons I'm a Trance lover: no lyrics (or ones that doesn't matter, it's the voice itself that you listen to), uplifting beats, I sometimes refer to it as the "modern transformation of classical music" (not that it replaces classical music, and before you ask, yes I enjoy classical music a lot too).

Ballmer was forced to resign from CEO May 2012 and that's when the stock started growing.

A British 500 kg UXO had to be detonated last night directly under the Autobahn A3, near the airport of Frankfurt, where it rested for decades before getting discovered. The explosion tore a 20 meter wide and 3 meter deep crater into the road, it is not known yet, when this section of the A3 will be repaired again.

They had even stopped flights from Frankfurt during the disarment last night, still this kind of bomb proved to be too risky to be disarmed and transported away. In the last years, almost all bombs with chemical delay trigger had been exploded on site, because they are too sensitive now.

Have my networking troubles fixed. After using WiFi was a good temporary solution but failed with the UDP packets, I bought a new Cat 5 cable ... and now it works again. Looks like the old cable was simply broken and had confused windows. Still no change on speed test...

Enya fan?

Not particularly, however talk to me about Armin Van Buuren's early work, or some of Dash Berlin's ...

Also: TMac is alive !

Ballmer was missing one single thing: the technological knowledge. He was a great salesman, and I think it's a miracle if Microsoft's stocks stayed that high. The technology simply wasn't there during the 2000. The innovation that Gates was bringing to Microsoft made them fly high. But starting from XP, the technology stagnated. The evolution was too slow, they were riding the 90's wave of success. The evolution only restarted in the last years, with Windows 8 and the "One Microsoft" philosophy.

Nadella brings a new way of thinking. He is more oriented around the design, the image and the philosophy, but Microsoft restarted their technology evolution, and that's great. Let's hope another big wave will pass and that Microsoft will be able to ride it better than they did in the 2000.

Dear Microsoft, keep rolling great products and profits should come. Do not roll on previous success, create new innovating products and stay rational. The Surface and Windows Phone are two beautifully designed products that will surely find their audience someday.
