I wanted to download the saturn rocket with a functioning lunar lander. But there are like 12 different versions of this. Which one is the best/newest most complete one?
I was looking into building a space station. I heard space station building blocks was good, is it compatible with this newest version of orbiter? I recently had to get a vanilla install because I had to many conflicting mods, so I'm trying to be more conciseness about my mods.
I'm going to try flyby wire in a bit. But I don't have a lot of confidence. The controller it's self is fine for it's intended purpose, flying RC plane/heli sims. It was my dad's, he had recently gotten a newer and better controller and gave me the Dynam.
It does show up in control pannel. Thanks. Turns out its way off calibration. And since it's a cheap Chinese knock off some of it's calibrations plain just don't work, wont calibrate properly.
So It looks like I wont be using this controller. Unless one of you can think of some thing im not.
I didnt see it in appdata. Im looking through the registry but I don't see it either.
Also joytokey detects its plugged in but none of the sticks or buttons seem to register on Joy2key
I recently got this http://www.amazon.com/Flight-Simulator-Controller-Helicopter-Airplane/dp/B004T8HSTK from my dad as a gift. It's meant to run model plane and helicopter simulators. I tried it in orbiter for the heck of it. It seems to work fine except that the camera is constant rotating...
Thanks a bunch!
Edit:
I also find the writing style of Go play in space alot easier to digest than the manuals for other things. I can't quite put my finger on why. Most other manuals are written in a way that doesn't lend well to digestion by rookies.
Hey I've been having a problem I cant solve. I'm trying to learn the IMFD, but the only good guides (guide for newbies) are out of date (Ive tried using them any way, but they don't work). I've even tried using the old IMFD but it wont work with the new orbiter 100% correctly.
I tried using...
I'm trying to use my interplanetary MDF for my first Martian mission. Go play in space is telling me to set teh oV value for MJD to 2.916k But it wont go that low. am i doing something wrong?
It stops at 3 something.
Any help?
I got it to work earlier, then due to an unrelated reason i had to uninstall and reinstall orbiter. Now I can't get it to work. I followed all the step and did the exact same steps before as I'm doing now. Any advice?
True, I didn't think of that. But taking for ever to load would be an issue for the end user (I'll check the size of some of these pictures in the morning). But just off the top of my head doing hi res tiles of small areas shouldn't make to huge of a file size difference. People who have pretty...
Just curious, why are some of the most detailed earth tiles on the add on hangar for earth such low resolution compared with some of the publicly available satellite imagery?
I would assume it's just because no one has made new tiles yet.
Part two of the question. I might attempt to make some...
Thanks, I started using a different guide that was helpful to but not as well done as this. I was worried about the small details because (remember I'm still new to orbiter) I was worried that launching on different dates and times than shown in the guide would alter alot of things in relation...
I've seen a few orbiter videos online and they all have shiny clean amazing graphics. Aside from a few things (moon and earth updates, although they still don't look as good as what I've seen online. I'm also running the sound add on) I'm running the vanilla version of orbiter 2010.
I've looked...
The play back uses a day launch. The walk through says its supposed to be a night launch. I'm still new, I doubt the beginning of the new users guide would expect me to know how to calculate launch windows with no real instructions.
Ok im using the replay one and just turned off the replay. But there are still a few inconsistencies. No one knows where I can find the proper scenario file for this part?
